GPYF action with Actionaid on EPAs

European Union is renegotiating at the moment the European Partnership aggreements (the former Cotonou aggreements) with ACP countries. The basis of these negotiations is the principle of reciprocity, which will have huge negative consequences on the development of African countries.

In order to sensibilize Socialist MEPs on this problem, the Global Progressive Youth Forum, together with the NGO ActionAid will organize a Euro-African Forum in Brussels on 18th of October. I will publish here soon the finalized program. The day after, the PES Group organizes a conference on the same issue. We will present there a GPYF-ActionAid statement.
