Tous à l'Action Jeunesse pour le Travail Décent (Berlin, 1 et 2 juin)

Si vous êtes intéressés contactez Etienne Valois (ev.mjs [at] wanadoo.fr).

Dear comrades,

We have the pleasure to invite you to the Decent Work Alliance conference, “Youth Action for Decent Work”, to be held from the 1st-2nd June 2007, in Berlin. This event is co-organized by IFM-SEI, ECOSY, and IUSY, in the framework of the Global Progressive Youth Forum.

You will be joined by young trade unionists and activists from all around the world to debate the state of youth employment today, and related subjects such as rights at work and global poverty. Policy makers and experts will be there to guide you through the process and to shed some light on some of the most intriguing issues globalization has to offer.

Among the speakers already confirmed are: Conny Reuter (Secretary General Solidar), John Monks (Secretary General ETUC), Harlem Désir (MEP, Vice-President of the PSE and the Global Progressive Forum), and Joseph Borell (MEP and President of the Development Committee and the GPF). A final declaration of our findings will be given to a representative of the German government, to inspire their presidency of the G8 and the EU.

You can register via the ECOSY website by clicking on the registration link under the ‘youth action for decent work’ header. Please do so before the 21st May! More information on the content of this conference is also to be found on the website.

If you have any questions regarding travel reimbursements, logistics or the activity in general, feel free to contact Robert Avonds, ECOSY political officer at + 32472563823 or ecosy2@pes.org.

Socialist regards,
