Prodi won yesterday the primary inside of the Left. Out of 7 candidates, he won more than 70% of the votes, more than expected. We also have to notice the high rate of turn-out. More than 3 millions of Italians voted. A very good result for the Left..
Berlusconi tries to change the electoral system less than 6 months before the elections in order to avoid a very bad result for him and Forza Italia. It was the best answer the Left could give to the undemocratic methods of Berlusconi.
