Today new day of mobilization and demonstrations all over France against the "CPE". Day after day, the movement is bigger. Today 65 universities are on strike (out of 85). 320000 peoples in the streets today. 1 Million last week. Maybe more on Saturday. A lot of pupils in the street. Next day of mobilization: Saturday with all the trade unions, all together to ask for the withdrawal of this CPE. The only problem is the government does not hear the clear message given by the youth (70% against) and the population (nearby 60% against). Last Sunday, Villepin, the prime minister proposes some "improvements" and call for "negotiation". The problem: the law is voted (without any negotiation) so we don't see exactly what can be negotiated... Strange methods... The only solution is the withdrawal of this CPE and after to launch negotiations. Still, we don't know how long the government will need to understand this.
One of the arguments used by Villepin was: all other european countries will adopt similar measures.. And a lot of European young peoples will be very happy to accept such kind of contracts.. Really? hum... We are not so sure. What we saw, it is the support of 9 organizations of Young Socialists in our struggle. During a seminar in Vienna, SJO (Austria), MSD (Slovaquia) and Die Falken (Germany) reaffirm their support to the struggle of the French Youth. We received messages of support from all over Europe and also from Mexico! In Sweden, the center-Right wing party wants to propose the same kind of contract. We received several message of support our swedish comrades. You can also read the analysis of Brian, International Secretary of MJS Belgium on his blog, comparing the Belgium unemployment policy and this CPE and the one of Chus Greciet, a comrade of JSE Spain.

Pour les camarades francophones, je vous conseille l'analyse de Brian, secrétaire international du MJS Belge et la comparaison de la politique anti-chomeurs menés en Belgique avec le CPE.
