March 8, International Women's Rights Day

IUSY claims for more women in decision making processes!

Read IUSY Statement

IUSY therefore claims for strong policies and legal provisions worldwide such as quota systems enabling women to participate equally in decision making processes! IUSY demands active policy measures for an equal distribution and payment of work, and measures such as public child care facilities, that make the political participation of women more likely!
IUSY calls an ongoing evaluation in political institutions and interest organisations (trade unions etc.) to foster equal political participation of women. Women in politics have to be regularly trained and possibilities for exchange of women in political institutions have to be provided. Political campaigning as well as state subvention systems for political parties have to be gender sensitive! The impact of gender has also to be considered for election observers!

FIGHT FOR EQUALITY, FIGHT FOR WOMEN IN POLITICS,
NOT ONLY ON MARCH 8,
EVERYDAY!
