First news : a bad one from Poland, Lech Kaczynski is elected President of this country. A very conservative guy in favour of the death penalty and very famous for the prohibition and the repression of the demonstration in favour of the LGBT rights (the polish gay pride). After the huge victory of the Rights (the conservatives together with the liberals) at the legislative elections, we can worry concerning the evolutions of the Human and Social rights in Poland. I hope the Left will be in position to give a new image, more on the left, closer to the social claims of the people in order to oppose the populist policies of the right. A special think for Ania, the ECOSY general secretary (from Poland), Patricia and all the FMS comrades.
Second news : We know how many "motions" we will have for our congress. Three. One coming from the majority (Nouvelle Gauche) together with Alternative Socialiste, the other one coming from "Socialisme et Démocratie", the supporters of Strauss-Kahn and the last one closed to François Hollande. All the MJS members will vote on these motions and elect their delegates to the congress between the 25th of November and the 5th of December. For my part, i sign the motion of the majority called "Porter l'alternative à Gauche, le combat d'une génération".
Third news : the Right-wing became crazy in France. On Friday, debate at the Parliament on the budget. Three gifts for the richer. An exoneration of the taxes for the stake-holders, a "reform" of the income taxes in favour of the higher income and the possibility to not be taxed on the dividends with certain conditions. It is not the middle-class that will benefit from these measures, but the higher. According to the French newspaper Liberation , the real winners will be the the CEO of the big french companies (for example 500 000 euros less of taxes for Thierry Desmarets, the CEO of Total).
And today, they announced the privatization of EDF, the french company of electricity, before the 21st of December. The first consequence: an increase of the prices (The French electricity is the cheaper in Europe).

Je ne prendrais pas le risque de parler anglais car ma spécialité est l'allemand. Oui ça été un week end riche en évènement.
Tout d'abord, un petit point sur la Pologne. Un an après son entrée dans l'Union Européenne, les élections présidentielles ont été un désastre pour la Gauche polonaise. Espérons que celle ci saura se relever de cette épreuve difficile.
Concernant le MJS, je me réjouis que le texte de la majorité ai été amendé par d'autres organisations. Je n'ai pas encore d'avis pourtant sur les textes déposés par les strauss kahniens et par les "hollandais".
Deux points sur Lionel Jospin! Tout d'abord sa candidature à l'élection présidentielle ne serait pas approuvée par 66% des français. Toujours sur les actions de ce même militant socialiste: l'erreur concernant l'ouverture du capital d'EDF signé lorsqu'il était au pouvoir.
La droite se réjouit de cette action qui selon elle fera faire des économies à l'état. Les citoyens sont tout simplement lésés dans cette histoire.
Que penses tu que les socialistes feront s'ils arrivent au pouvoir en 2007 concernant EDF?

As Djamila said, i am also very satisfied by the fact a lot of organizations participate to the amendment process of MJS. And Valerio, we adopt some of the amendments of one Mutuelle concerning the Social Economy. You see what i mean.
For the main political points : all the positions papers asked to overpass the debate on the YES or NO to the European Constitution, which is quite positive. I didn't read yet all the position papers, but i think the main issue of discussion will be on the models of development : Social-Democracy / Sustainable Development ...
Of course, the VIth republique will be also one subject of concern. But i give you my feeling just after reading the other political text!

Concernant les socialistes, tous (ou presque) disent aujourd'hui leur opposition à l'ouverture de capital (que de changement y compris des camarades de la motion 1 depuis 2002). Après d'ici à dire qu'ils reviendront sur l'ouverture de capital en 2007.. Je ne saurai m'aventurer dans ce sens! Mais il s'agit pourtant d'une exigence, à la fois en terme de sécurité, de développement, et d'égalité.
And what was your position about lmde's ademendments on healthcare ?
I didn't check amendments by amendments but i think they were adopted.
